I’ve seen some at Cars and Coffee, but never before out and about. I adore the styling of the Z8, even if the driving experience apparently leaves something to be desired. Still, I absolutely cannot believe the prices on these things. They sold for about $130,000 new, but today you can’t really find one for less than $160,000. In Alpina spec they run all the way up to nearly four hundred grand.

The Alpina version might be more collectible but the regular version is apparently a lot more fun to drive (I’ve only driven that one).
Still kicking myself for not buying that particular car for $75k.

Wait, they’ve appreciated?!
I honestly thought this was an orphaned afterthought in the BMW world. I would have guessed $40k now.

I’ve only seen one out and about and that was many years ago. In fact they were probably still being built when I saw it. Gorgeous cars.
